Constance Mattheus is a multi-instrumentalist born on the border between Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany. Constance has her own centre in the north of Germany, in Hamburg. Besides working as a music therapist at her centre in Germany, she travels the world as a sound researcher. In her travels through 37 countries, she has come into contact with a variety of musical traditions from different cultures. Her travels and experience have made possible the programme ‘Around the World with the Harp’, which has been presented internationally with live performances in impressive locations, festivals, concert halls, yoga centres, ashrams and churches.

Constance respects the history and origin of every ancient melody, every wise song, every prayer she encounters on her journey. She works with native speakers to ensure that the pronunciation of each piece of music is as authentic as possible. In the next phase, the song is allowed to be deeply felt by the soul and find its personal expression in the harp accompaniment. Some songs are incorporated immediately into the programme, others need years of attention to mature. Constance combines the music of other cultures, her own compositions and the singing of the ‘language of light’. As a powerful and inspiring voice of the growing global community of conscious people, Constance is committed to respectful and peaceful coexistence and the restoration of a balanced relationship with Mother Earth. In this way, Constance expresses her holistic vision and passion through her concerts, workshops, lectures, her therapeutic work as a music therapist and trauma therapist in palliative care, psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine, and her commitment to social and ecological projects.

Constance Mattheus è una polistrumentista nata al confine tra Polonia, Repubblica Ceca e Germania. Constance possiede un proprio centro nel nord della Germania, ad Amburgo. Oltre a lavorare come musicoterapeuta presso il suo centro in Germania, viaggia per il mondo come ricercatrice sonora. Nei suoi viaggi attraverso 37 Paesi è entrata in contatto con svariate tradizioni musicali appartenenti a diverse culture. I suoi viaggi e la sua esperienza hanno reso possibile il programma “Around the World with the Harp”, presentato a livello internazionale con esibizioni dal vivo in luoghi suggestivi, in festival, sale da concerto, centri yoga, Ashram e chiese.

Constance rispetta la storia e l’origine di ogni antica melodia, di ogni canto saggio, di ogni preghiera che incontra durante il suo cammino. La musicista lavora con i madrelingua per garantire che la pronuncia di ogni brano musicale sia il più autentica possibile. Nella fase successiva, si lascia che la canzone sia profondamente sentita dall’anima e che trovi la sua espressione personale nell’accompagnamento con l’arpa. Alcune canzoni vengono inserite subito nel programma, altre hanno bisogno di anni di attenzione per maturare. Constance combina la musica di altre culture, le proprie composizioni e il canto del “linguaggio della luce”. In qualità di voce potente e ispiratrice della crescente comunità globale di persone consapevoli, Constance si impegna per una coesistenza rispettosa e pacifica e per il ripristino di un rapporto equilibrato con la Madre Terra. In questo modo, Constance esprime la sua visione olistica e la sua passione attraverso i suoi concerti, i suoi workshop, le sue conferenze, il suo lavoro terapeutico come musicoterapeuta e terapeuta del trauma nelle cure palliative, nella psichiatria e nella medicina psicosomatica e il suo impegno in progetti sociali ed ecologici.
