Saturday January 24, 3:30 – 7:30 p.m.: The Chakra Yantras – Theoretical and practical workshop with Claudia Becagli

Saturday, January 24, 2026⋅3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The Chakra Yantras – Theoretical and practical workshop with Claudia Becagli

Yantras and Mandalas: sacred diagrams.

Both represent the structure of the universe as well as that of humans. They are a microcosmic replica of the macrocosm. Drawing and coloring them is a profound meditative experience, but not only that.

Each Yantra is associated with a mantra that is the vibrational sound correspondence of the graphic structure of the Yantra itself. Its symbolism functions as a tool for transforming psychic energy.

They can be used for meditation but also in interior design, where they correct any disharmonies.

In this meeting, we will follow the inspiration of the seven major energy centers of the human subtle body (chakras), which are considered a system of psychic ‘crossroads’ in which the infinite world of time and space are seen as reflected in the psychophysical structure of man.

We will enter into the experience of their elements, colors, symbols, and sound vibrations. A journey into sacred geometry, intrinsic to the constitutive nature of every being.

*** It is important that everyone brings their own compass, set square, and pencil.

You may also bring your favorite colors (pencils, crayons, or markers).

Yoga Sutra Seminar – First Aṅga: Yama
Patañjali’s Yoga Sutras constitute a millenary manual for understanding the essence and practice of yoga. Divided into four chapters (pāda), they offer a path in eight ‘branches’, ‘steps’ (aṅga) to be followed to achieve physical, mental and spiritual balance.
The First Aṅga: Yama The term Yama denotes the ‘abstentions’ or universal ethical principles that govern our relationship with the outside world. In the first aṅga we find five fundamental Yamas:

1 – Ahimsā (do no harm)
Respect and care for all living beings and ourselves*, in thought and word

2 – Satya (truth)
Sincerity and integrity, avoiding deception and half-truths

3 – Asteya (not stealing)
Honesty in not taking or appropriating what does not belong to us

4 – Brahmacarya (moderation)
Conscious management of energies and moderation in sensory pleasures

5 – Aparigraha (non-accumulation: freedom from dependence on possessions, freedom from greed)
Detachment from material possessions and possessive emotions

Seminar Objectives
● To delve into the historical and philosophical significance of each Yama
● To recognise how the Yamas manifest in daily life and in the practice of Yoga
● To share experiences and doubts in a dialogic circle, fostering collective learning
